We learned a lot in 2012! Blogging was a new adventure for us. Some of our posts were deeply personal, like our Song Stories. The writing of some of our posts was almost like doing research for a term paper. We gained a lot of knowledge about the history of certain hymns and about what people are looking for that led them to our blog (our 3 most searched tags are still “God”, “worship”, and “worship God”, as you can see in the blog sidebar in our tag cloud). Most significantly, we learned to think about a lot of spiritual truths in a deeper way. Just thinking and praying through the subject matter of some of our blog posts and doing the scripture searches to write them was a very beneficial process of growth and a constant reminder of what an awesome Savior we have and how loving and forgiving is our God. It has been like a partnership with God as we trusted Him to lead us into all truth and then shared what we were learning.
We also learned a lot of technical stuff through trial and error (mostly error) and dealt with the frustrations of computer quirks. The technical stuff is necessary in order to build a blog, but far more important to us has been the process of trying to build a ministry through a new medium. Most important of all has been the opportunity to think on the things that are good and righteous and miraculous and amazing and then attempt to share such eternal blessings and truths through mere words.
We will continue to seek to be a resource of inspiration and discipleship for every Christian and a resource for ministy specific content (especially regarding Worship Ministry). We will also continue to share information about the songs that Travis has written to bring glory to the Lord, attempting to be good stewards of those blessings. Every song begins with a revelation of truth and the desire to communicate that truth in a meaningful way. It has been the same with the writing of our posts and pages. We hope that we have been able to communicate eternal truths and present day blessings in a way that has been both practically helpful and spiritually beneficial. God bless you in 2013!

Below is our annual report for 2012 from WordPress. Behind the facts and figures is a desire to minister and to share the message that God is real, that He is loving, that He has provided a way of salvation because of His love and mercy, and that the instrument of His grace is our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. To Him be all of the glory, honor and praise now and forevermore.
